DESCRIPTION:We believe in making a difference and we’re going to discuss how you can get involved in doing that \nJoin us Thursday\, May 28\, 7:00pm\, Denny’s Restaurant 12405 Westheimer Rd\, Houston\, TX 77077 \nFirst off\, you’ll hear from the superstars of Harris County elections administration. Teneshia Hudspeth is our County Clerk and chief elections official. She will be joined by Annette Ramirez\, our Tax Assessor-Collector and Voter Registrar. In addition to describing the massive efforts involved in conducting our elections\, they will share ideas about the kinds of volunteers they need. \nTo ensure a smooth and successful election in November\, we need many people to help to keep up with the anticipated turnout. You can be an election worker on either the front lines or behind the scenes.  You can become a Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar (VDVR) to register voters. And there are many more ways of making a difference. \nWe’re also inviting all the Precinct Chairs in our geography and will have you sit by precinct.  They will tell you about your precinct and the kinds of activities they have planned. \nThe goals are to flip the Texas House of Representatives\, along with the U.S. Congress\, the Senate\, and to win up and down the ballot in November. \nLet’s do this together! \nClick here to sign up to attend \n
